Bojana Šaljić Podešva
Bojana Šaljić Podešva is a composer of predominantly electroacoustic music, engaged in research of art forms and expressive languages, exploring them in different art fields. In her work, she explores sound as an entity that affects the listener physically and substantively; thus her music stretches between complete abstraction and complex semantic speeches. She has received several awards for concert, for stage and film music. She regularly performs at international venues. In last years she has been collaborating with Saška Rakef. Their work has been marked by the collaboration and co-influence from the first project step, allowing them to develop new expressive languages and formats. The electroacoustic opera Iden (co-authored with T. Kozin) was nominated for Prix Italia and EBU Palmo Ars Acustica. The radio work The Voice of the Jackal was awarded the Special Mention Prize at the Prix Italia and nominated for the Prix Europa.
