Roberto Conte (1980) is exploring abandoned places in Italy and abroad since 2006. During the years he increasingly focused on photographing architectures of the 20th century, from rationalist structures to post-war modernism and contemporary architecture. His pictures have been published on online and printed magazines and books as “This Brutal World” (Phaidon Press), “Soviet Asia”(FUEL) focused on the Soviet Modernism in Central Asia together with Stefano Perego. His photos of Yugoslavian monuments have been featured in the exhibition “ARCHITECTURE. SCULPTURE. REMEMBRANCE. The Art of Monuments of Yugoslavia 1945–1991”.
